Sylvester Francis “Oz” Osterholt, 95, of Okarche died Friday, May 8, 2015, at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon.Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 10, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche with the Rev. John Peter Swaminathan and Deacon Max Schwarz officiating. Burial followed in Holy Trinity Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements are under direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home in El Reno.He was born Oct. 25, 1919, at Westphalia, Kan., to Edward L. and Rose Winkler Osterholt.He married Myrtle Margaret Naberhaus on May 12, 1948. She preceded him in death on Dec. 31, 2014.He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the Army Air Corps.He was employed at Naberhaus Hardware, Temtrol and then Lucent Technology.He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Lions Club.Survivors include three daughters, Elaine Lakey and husband Charles of Kingfisher, Diane Goeringer and husband Ross of Clinton and Marian Willing and husband Dan of El Paso, Texas; two sons, Ron Osterholt and wife Cindy of Salida, Colo., and Rick Osterholt and wife Darlene of Okarche; three brothers, Richard Osterholt of Grass Valley, Calif., Lawrence Osterholt of Rossville, Calif., and Gerald Osterholt of El Cerrito, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by four brothers, Cletus, Ray, Frank and Don Osterholt; three sisters, Florence Cutter, Millie Blanchard and Mary Ann Robinson, and one granddaughter.
