Biography
Son of Sir Compton Reade and Mary Cornewall of Shipton, Oxfordshire, England.
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Reade, of Bardon Court and Beedon, Denford, Northamptonshire and Shipton Court, co. Oxford [E., 1661] on 29 September 1679.
Edward was married to Elizabeth Harby (1661-1730) in 1681 Shipton Court, Oxfordshire, England. (d/o Francis Harby) They had the following Children

- Sir Winwood Reade "3rd Bt." b 1682 - d Jun 30, 1692.
- Sir Thomas Reade "4th Bt." b1683. m Jane Mary Dutton. d Sep 25, 1752.
- Brig.-Gen. George Reade b 1687 - d Mar 28, 1756
His wife Elizabeth married again.
Edward was 32yrs old when he passed away in 1691.
Burial: Saint Mary the Virgin Churchyard and Vaults in Shipton under Wychwood, West Oxfordshire District, Oxfordshire, England.
