Biography

Horace (Forbes) Forbes Twentieth Lord Forbes is a member of Clan Forbes.

Horace Forbes was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.

He attended Oriel College at Oxford graduating with a B.A. in 1849 followed by a M.A. in 1851. He became a Master at Radley College.

He died aged 85 being found dead in a Dundee Hotel.

He never married or had children as the title passed to his younger brother.

He is buried in the Keig old Kirkyard, Keig Aberdeenshire.

Scots Peerage (Paul) lists him as 20th. XX. HORACE COURTENAY, twentieth and present Lord Forbes, born at Aberdeen 24 February 1829, premier Baron of Scotland, M.A. of Oriel College, Oxford, Bart, of Nova Scotia, D.L., Representative Peer 1874-1905.
