Hannah Boate was born about 1633, the daughter of Edward Boate, a master shipwright at Portsmouth, Hampshire.[1] She married Sir Josiah Child, 1st Bt., son of Richard Child and Elizabeth Roycroft, on 26 December 1654 at Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. She died in about July 1662. She was buried on 29 July 1662 at Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. From 26 December 1654, her married name became Child.[2]
