Note N247When Martti was 28, he emigrated to Ft. William in Canada. He left Finland on 3/29/1905 on board the Arcturus. On April 4, 1905, he left England on the Lake Erie (ship). The family emigrated from Finland in 1909 from Finland. Ship's manifest lists Martti's birthdate as 1877. They left Finland on April 9, 1910 on a ship called Urania. The ship's manifest lists Martti as a "Farmer's son". On April 16, 1910 they left England on the Columbia. Martti's brothers (unknown how many) settled in Michigan...possibly Hancock.) Martti's death certificate gives his cause of death as myocardial failure, cerebral herorrhage. His residence is given as 21 Ethel Avenue and that is also his place of death. He was born in Finland. Here is the translation of the Pastor's Verification, the original copy, in Finnish, is in the possession of Ruth Autio Harju, but a copy is held by her daughter, Lani K. Thompson.
