Biography
Samuel Phillips was born in Ireland.
Samuel Phillips migrated from Ireland to New Zealand.
Accountant and Secretary, of Ballygawley, County Tyrone, Ireland; he immigrated to New Zealand.

He was the youngest son of Samuel Phillips MD and Kate Trimble, of Ballygawley, County Tyrone.[1]

Marriages and family
In 1903 he married 1ly Jane Elizabeth Macfarlane, with issue three children. She died in childbirth in 1917 with a baby son who also died.
In 1926 he married 2ly Aimee Mary Behan (a widow with one son); without children.
Death and burial
He died on 6 December 1932 at Hamilton.[2] He was buried in Hamilton East Cemetery. He was survived by his wife Aimee and children Frank and Hester.[3] [4]
