Could be living with daughter in 1925 under her maiden name. Husband died in 1924.

Married after 1880 (Levi is listed in the 1880 census as single and residing with his parents)

Mary's father is born in England, her mother in Ireland.

Mary is a bit of a conundrum. She was most likely not from Penfield as no known Curran's are buried in the cemetery there. Her family could be the Curran's of Ward 2, daughter of Richard, a physician, and Mary, both listed as being from Ireland in the 1875 census. By 1880 Mary (Maria) is in boarding school at Sacred Heart on Prince St., along with all of her sisters. This family is most likely progeny of Richard Curran, [Harvard 1859] educated, Civil War doctor of renown, druggist [1] and one time mayor of Rochester. With his wife dying in 1875 it is no wonder all of his children were sent to boarding school.

Sabina, Mary's sister, sued their father in 1898. No mention if Mary is married to a Sharp.

1880 Mary Curran b. 1862. Listed with her sisters at the boarding school. The census taker must have been having a rough time of it, each sister has different states listed as birthplaces of their parents

1892 Residence: Penfield, NY 30, Marie (9) and Herman (3)

• 1893 Deaths of her twin infant sons

1900 Residence: Penfield, NY. Only Herman (11) is listed in this census but it does say that she has a total of three living children.
