Biography

Nothing is known about Sarah, when she was born or who her parents were, although the surname Farmington is suggested in some sources, this appears to be speculative.

Circa 1670 she married Thaddeus Brean or Bran in Lynn, Massachusetts^[1].

Their children included

1. Sarah, who married Timothy Breed in February 1693^{[2] [3] [4] [5]}
2. Mary born February 12, 1670^{[6] [7]}, who died August 19, 1675^{[8] [9]}
3. Elizabeth, born 16 Aug 1673^{[10] [7]}, who died on August 26, 1675^{[11] [9]}
4. Mary, born 10 October 1675^[5] or November 27, 1675^[12], who was baptized December 27, 1675^[13], and who married Ebenezer Tarbox.

Sarah died, shortly after the birth of their youngest daughter, on December 13, 1675 ^[14],^[15]

Thaddeus was pressed into military service shortly after his wife died, and died in battle in 1677. He left his daughters (Sarah and Mary) in the care of Zaccheus Curtis, Sr^[16]. This has led to some speculation that there was some relationship between Thaddeus and Zaccheus^{[3] [17] [3]}

Notes

The hand-scripted death record for Sarah states q.v. Sarah the wife of Thaddeus Brian dyed the 13: 10mo: 75, which translates to 13 December 1675 according to the Julian calendar which was in effect at the time. This is confusing because just one line above it states pertaining to Sarah's daughter, q.v. Mary the daughter of Thaddeus Brian was bornd the 27: 10mo: 75, i.e. 27 December 1675 ^[18]. Obviously one (or both) of these dates must have been mis-recorded.
