Biography

Nellie was the daughter of William Henry and Mary J. (Banning) Meeks of Butler County, Ohio, and the sister of Thomas, Ward, Lulu, Abram, and Olive. Her father was a farmer. Nellie married William Coyle in 1911 in Butler County. In 1920, they were living in Butler County, Ohio, and William was working as a lineman for the electric company. Their children were Raymond, Mary Helen, Bernice, Mildred, and Betty. William died in 1923 when his children were still young. Nellie married twice more after William's death. In 1930, she is married to Chester Deselms in Hamilton, Ohio. In 1940, she is married to Homer Slack. Nellie died in 1946 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio.
