Parents Daniel Green (born abt. 1817?) and Mary Preston.

In the 1895 Argentina Census his religion is cited as Protestant and his profession is "criador" which might be to do with breeding animals.

Research notes

• In the 1895 Argentina Census, it appears that the family is split between urban/rural locations? i.e. Encadenadas y Barriles (Población rural), General López, Santa Fe, Argentina VERSUS Sección 14 (Población urbana), Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.
• First census record could be for another Green family as mother is stated as "Ana" instead of Mary.
• Furthermore there are two 1885 baptisms for Daniel Green (junior) with different mothers i.e. 14 September 1885 at Inmaculada Concepción, General Acha, La Pampa, Argentina: Daniel Pedro Green; father Daniel W Green mother Ana Callaba VERSUS 10 November 1885 at Nuestra Señora del Rosario, Rosario, Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina: Daniel Green; father Daniel Green mother María Gallecher [could be misspelt - Gallagher?] .
• Compounded by later marriages for two different Daniel Greens.
