Emma Coldwell was born June 1836^[1]

On March 29, 1857, she married John Wesley Trefry, the son of William and Elizabeth (Ellenwood) Trefry^[2], and had children^{[3] [4]}, including:

1. Margaret L. (Maggie) Trefry, born circa 1858^[3], who married Byron Payson in 1874^[5]
2. Russell Trefry 1861–1861^[6]
3. Frederick Lincoln Trefry 1862^{[3] [4]}, who married Hannah Phillips in 1884^[7], and who died in1934
4. Elizabeth (Bessie) H. Trefry born circa 1867, who died young
5. Fidella Fisk Trefry born April 25, 1870^{[8] [3] [4]}, who married Alfred Carter Fernald in 1873^[9]
6. Clarence Trefry, born January 15, 1873^[10], who died March 6, 1873^[11]
