Biography

John Stuart Thomson was a Canadian-born writer who emigrated to the United States after graduating from McGill University, Montreal. In the early 1900s he lived in New York.[1]

He was born June 6, 1868 in Montreal and was baptized on 17 Jul 1869 in St. Mathew Presbyterian Church, Pointe-St-Charles.[2] His parents were likely Francis Stuart Thompson, a Scottish immigrant, and Elizabeth Ferris, who was born in Ontario.[3][4]

He was recorded in the Census of 1871 living with his parents in Montreal.[5]

John Stuart died on 12 Apr 1950 and was buried on 14 Apr 1950 in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States.[6][7]
