Biography
Ieuan/Jevan Llewellyn/Whelan a "gentilman of the King’s (Edward III) Court" married Clarice Ewyas, only child of Richard Ewyas and Margery, daughter of Madoc ap Jorwent.
Reserch Notes
His wife, Clarice's, parents were both alive in 1301, By 1305 her father was dead and her mother was a widow. One of their daughters (probably the eldest) married Thomas Scudamore in 1354.
Edward III reigned from 1327 to 1377, so he was probably born later that 1280.
Therfore their marriage may be estimated before1330, and he was probably born before 1300.
Given his name, and his connection with the Herefordshire branch of the Scudamore family, he was probably born in Wales or Herefordshire.
