Biography

Abigail Smith, daughter of Nehemiah and Abigail (Avery) Smith, was born on 10 Aug. 1759.^[1]

She married Peleg Lewis, son of Sylvester Lewis of Groton, on 27 Jan. 1782.^[1]

Peleg died on 25 Dec. 1792 and she married Noah Bailey on 10 July 1806.^[1]

Abigail died on 16 Sep. 1842 and was buried at Starr Burying Ground Cemetery, Groton, New London County, Connecticut.^[1] Her memorial has a photo of her headstone and links to those of family members.^[2]
