Biography

John Bean, born circa 1768, is found on the United States Census of 1790 and 1800, living in Canaan, Grafton county, New Hampshire. ^{[1] [2]}

His name appears on the inventories of 1793 through 1795, and in 1798 he owned land in the southeast corner of the town. John Bean and Polly, his wife had children: Folsom, born March 2, 1789; John Jr. born March 28, 1791, Moses, born January 11, 1793, Susannah, born March 13, 1795. ^[3]

John married Polly Garvin, born circa 1769, possibly the daughter of Moses and Elizabeth Garvin, who lived in Grafton county, New Hampshire (unproven)
