Ann was born about 1779 and passed away about 1825.[1]
Research Notes
I checked the Ancestry Tree and it is no longer there, so I deleted the reference. Korte-201 04:21, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
There is a conflict between the marriage date listed on each marriage record, with "Virginia Marriages" stating 20 Feb 1796 and "U.S., Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy" recording 24 Apr 1796. This needs to be researched to see if and/or when Quaker wedding ceremonies qualified for a Civil License.
It is unlikely that Permelia is their daughter. She was born about 1890, 6 years before they married. Ann would have been 11 when she was born.

U.S., Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy
GOODMAN, 1796 2 24. Robert & Ann Neal, dt [daughter of] Zephannah. John Goodman, Surety. (Note: It's probable that since this is a record from a Quaker document, the date is old style (Julian) instead of new style (Gregorian), which would make the legal date April 24, 1796. See Understanding Quaker Dates for more information.)

Hi Morgan, looks like we have 3 different dates for Ann and Robert's wedding. Unless we have Ann's birthdate wrong, I don't think 1790 is correct because she would only be 11. I suggest using the legal date of 20 Feb 1796.
If you set up a timeline, it is obvious that William Pope Mahan could not have been married to Ann Neal. He married Permelia Goodman when he was 17 and they remained married until after Ann's death. She needs to be deleted as his wife.
I tried to look at the original film copy but FamilySearch has it locked. I hate FamilySearch. Are there any LDS members that can take a look for me? Film #30,591, maybe page 254.
If Ann was born in 1779, she would have been 11 when Permelia was born. Not likely. Needs to be investigated. Also, I have a marriage record that shows her marrying Robert when she was 17, which is more likely. I'll post it.
