Patrick was born on 24 April 1754 at Gateside of Glassingall, Dunblane, Perthshire, Scotland. He was Christened at Dunblane on 28 April 1754, recorded in the church register: "Patrick son to Michael Stirling in Gateside of Glassingall born the 24 and baptized the 28 April 1754".[1] He was also known as Peter.
Marriage: "Peter Sterling" married Agnes Sterling (1756–1827) on 31 January 1785 at Methven, Perthshire, Scotland.[2]
