James Seton, 4th of Pitmdden was the son of John Seton, 3rd of Pitmedden and Elizabeth Johnston. He died in 1667, from wounds received in enemy attack on Chatham.
He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy. He lived at Pitmedden, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. He fought in the Second Dutch War in 1667.[1]
