Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Floyd, 2nd Bt. was born on 2 September 1793. He was the son of General Sir John Floyd, 1st Bt. and Rebecca Juliana Darke.
He gained the rank of Captain in the 10th Royal Hussars. He fought in the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Floyd [U.K., 1816] on 10 January 1818. He was Aide-de-Camp to General William Clinton in Sicily and Spain.
He married Mary Murray, daughter of William Murray, on 30 August 1821.
He died on 4 March 1868 at age 74.
