He was the husband of Nellie I. (Berner) Farrington — married 15 Oct 1885 in St. Charles, Winona, Minnesota, United States. They had four children: William Serenus Farrington, Mary Helen Farrington, Minnie Etta (Farrington) Gutzler and Myrtle Farrington.
