Biography

Hugh Bethell was born about 1600. He is the son of Walter Bethell and Maria Slingsby. (Birthdate is a guess, based on the date of parents marriage and the births of his siblings)

In 1639 Bethell quarelled with Sir William Allenson. The matter went before the Court of Chivalry.^[1]

He died in January 1663.^[2]
