Biography

Chaffee - Funeral services for Mrs. Flo Pauline (Witcher) Kinder of Chaffee will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at General Baptist Church here. Rev. Arvil Huffman will officiate, with burial in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.

Friends may call Amick-Burnett Funeral Home here after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Mrs. Kinder, 87 years old, died today, March 10, 1987, at her home.

She was born July 22, 1899, at Essex, daughter of Johnny N. "John" Witcher (187-1927) and Christine Jane (Moore) Witcher (1872-1938). She and Claude Sylvester Kinder (1896-1976) were married June 28, 1917. He died January 10, 1967. Mrs. Kinder had lived here 80 years. She was a member of General Baptist Church here, taught Sunday School many years, and was a past president of its missionary society.

Survivors include two sons, Glenn Newton Kinder (1927-1995) and Max Drexel Kinger (1933-1997) of Chaffee; two daughters, Mrs. Inez Marie (Kinder) McIntosh (1925-1993) of Chaffee, Mrs. Freda (Kinder) Clemens (1918-2007) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 38 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sons and a sister. Sons are Eugene Kinder (1920-1978), Claude Janest Kinder (192-1985) and Ralph Dennis Kinder (1924-1977) and Ralph Dennis Kinder (1924-1977). Her sister that preceded her in death is Chloe E. (Witcher) Holder (1906-1963)

Flo was born in 1899. She passed away in 1987.
