Rudolf Friedrich Gustav was born in 1879. He was the son of Ernst Jungfer and Maria Lindner. He passed away in 1948.
Mr Rudolph Jungfer, 69, of Moeulta, who died in Adelaide Hospital on Monday, had resided in Moculta district for 43 years. He was just over 14 when he went to the Northern Territory as tent boy for the late Sir Sidney Kidman. He took a course in veterinary science at Sydney University, gaining five certificates. He was the only veterinary officer in S.A. ever to keep his own chemist. Widely travelled, he accompanied large consignments of stock, visiting the islands, New Guinea, Tasmania and elsewhere. He travelled over 27,000 miles in Australia while employed by Sir Sidney Kidman, and was a rare conversationalist. The funeral took place in West Terrace Cemetery on Tuesday. Left with Mrs Jungfer are two sisters: Bertha (Mrs Raethel) and Clara (Mrs Smith).[1]
