Biography
Newell was born in 1802. He is the son of Jesse Hunting and Lois Newell.
His death record [1] shows his birth est. 1792. He lived to be 95 years old and died on 28 Nov 1887 in Vermont.
His burial information (gravestone picture) shows [2] his death on 28 Nov 1897 giving his age as "95 years and 3 months" which would put his birth approx August 1802. This conflicts with death record above. There may be two people of this name, one born in 1792 and dying in 1887 and one born in 1802 and dying in 1897. OR a mistake in a date and some arithmetic by a researcher could have caused the discrepancy (exactly 10 years off).
1881 Town History says he married Lucinda Carkin of Dracut Mass and resides in Londonderry. [VT?] [3]
In 1870 US Census [4]he lived in Vermont with

Research Notes
Williams-27459 19:49, 29 November 2017 (EST) The birth date is different (1792 versus 1802) and the death date varies on records 1887 or 1897. Is this two people or a mistake in date calculations? I haven't figured out what is what. Bears more researching....
