Biography
John Mangan was born in Preston, Lancashire, England.
John Mangan was born in 1857 [1] in Preston, Lancashire, England, the son of Owen Mangan and Mary Smith.
He obtained numerous degrees from Boston College of Physicians and Surgeons (now Tufts Medical School) and Harvard. Studied in Vienna and Berlin as well. Wrote Life, Character and Influence of Desiderus Erasmus of Rotterdam (New York, Macmillan 1927)
John died in 1935 in Massachusetts and was remembered on a memorial in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts. [2]
