1563 appointed 1st schoolmaster of Elizabeth College

1568 – rector of the parish of St Pierre du Bois guernsey

1571-1578 headmaster at Southampton grammar school

1580 – inspector of Ghent theological school

1584 – professor of theology at Leiden University

1588- rector of Taten hill

1590 – D.D.

1595 – canon at canterbury

1606 – widowed

2nd wife; Margaret Wiits

1607-1610 1st Westminster Company of the KJB translators

1612 – died. buried in Lewisham cathedral
