Biography

Cyrus was the son of Ira and Mary Ann (Ackley) Gaylord, born c. 1798 in CT.^[1] He married Melissa Williams in Pittsfield, MA in 1819.^[2]

Cyrus Gaylord was executor of his father-in-law, Isaac Williams' will of 1823. I give & bequeath unto my Daughter Melissa Gaylord wife of Cyrus Gaylord all the personal property which I may die ___ & possessed of including all my house hold furniture.^[3]

Melissa died in 1845. Cyrus married secondly, Susan Olds.

Cyrus died in Pittsfield, MA in 1864. He is buried near his first wife Melissa in the New Lenox Cemetery in Lenox, MA.^[4]
