Biography
Hester Butler, daughter of Thomas Butler and his wife, Hester Lushington, was born in London on the 21st of April 1800 and was baptised at St Mary, Marylebone on the 19th of May. [1]
On the 18th of January 1838 at Hambledon in Hampshire she married Commander Robert FirtzGerald Gambier of the Royal Navy, son of Sir James Gambier [2] and his wife, Jemima Snell.
In 1861 they were living at 7 Anglesey Crescent in Alverstoke. [3]
She passed away on the 14th of March 1885. [4][5]
