Biography

The son of Herr Binet was baptized in Alingsås 23 February 1729. He is entered in the book as "Gudemon", but his age at death fits very well with Edmund Bennet. The vicar was probably much more familiar with Gudmund (there is one on the opposite page) than with Edmond.^[1]

Edmund Bennet, son of Directeuren at Flors Manufacturie died 29 July 1743, while he was at school in Hudiksvall. He was brought home to be buried in Mo.^[2] In the death book for Mo parish his age is given as 14 years, 6 months and 8 days. The names of both parents are mentioned, Stephen Bennet and Catharine Rapalin (in other places noted as Raily).^[3]
