Biography

Ralph is the son of James Pennyman and Mary Wharton. His wife Bridget Gee is the daughter of Thomas Gee of Bishop Burton, Yorkshire; and the widow of John Taylor of Beverley, Yorkshire. Their son James succeeded Ralph's brother, Sir Warton Pennyman, BT.

St. Mary's in Beverly, Yorkshire have wall-tablets (1774) dedicated to Ralph and his wife Bridget. They were carved by Edmund Foster (fl. 1760-1800).
