I don't believe this is the correct info for Content Hawes/Howes who married Peter Branch. Thomas Hawes and Content Smith married almost a year and a half after Content's birth (she was born March 1700, they married December 1701. There is a book “The Howes Family in America, Descendants of Thomas Howes of Yarmouth Mass 1637-1892”. This appears to be Content’s line, but does not name Content as a daughter in Thomas’ will. Also she is not listed in the genealogy lists for Thomas Hawes. Also distance. They married in Eastham (at the end of Cape Cod) Rochester Mass is closer to Providence RI than to Connecticut. This piece just doesn't seem to fit IMHO.
