Biography

The daughter of Samuel Knight (1819-1898) and Philomena Byington (1826-1902), Sarah was born in DePeyster in 1849. In 1860, the family lived in Oswegatchie, New York, in St. Lawrence County.[1] Her siblings included:

  1. Charles E. Knight (1852-1936)
  2. Washington Knight (1853-1933)
  3. Silas F. Knight (1856-)
  4. John L. Knight (1863-1924)
  5. Willis Knight (1863-)

She married Michael Brady in Wells Township on December 1, 1866.[2][3] Their children included:

  1. Bernard Brady (1867-)
  2. Myra E. Brady (1869-)
  3. Edward Brady (1870-)
  4. James Brady (1872-)
  5. John M. Brady (1873-)
  6. William Brady (1875-)
  7. Charles Brady (1876-)
  8. Thomas Brady (1878-)
  9. Michael Brady (1879-)
  10. George M. Brady (1883-)
  11. Jennie Mae Brady (1885-1975)
  12. Elmer Brady (1887-)

They made their home in Wells Township.[4][5][6] Her husband passed away in 1918 and in 1920, Sarah lived with her son, George, and his family in Wells Township.[7]

She passed away in Wells at the age of 80[8] and is buried at East Dayton Cemetery, Wells Township, Michigan.[9]
