Biography

His family moved from Concord to Fairfield, Conn. At the age of 12, Josiah then moved with his father to Hempstead, NY, on Long Island, leaving his mother and the rest of the family in Connecticut.

Josiah was born Concord, MA, later Fairfield, CT, and by 1658 he was in Huntington, Hempstead & Lattingtown (Oyster Bay) in New York. He m. Sarah Wright whose brother was Edmund Wright. Children:

1. Richard Lattin,
2. Jonas Lattin,
3. Sarah Lattin, m. 25 June 1718 to John Provost of New York, in the Dutch Church.
