She was betrothed to Henry Percy, 6th Earl of Northumberland, in 1516 but they didn't marry Henry Percy until some time between September 1523 and August 1526. It was a forced marriage as Henry was in love with Anne Boleyn, then lady-in-waiting to Catherine of Aragon.[3]
[They had one stillborn child in April 1529],[citation needed] ... Having left Henry Mary returned to living with her family and sought an annulment in June 1532, however this was thrown out of court by Henry VIII and they remained married.[3]
She died on 16 April 1572 and is buried at Sheffield Church.[4][3]
