Biography
270. William Joseph Loring (Caleb, Caleb, Caleb, John, Thomas), born at Boston October 8, 1795; married October 12, 1825, Anna, daughter of Hon. Israel and Anna (Dodge) Thorndike, born at Beverly June 26,1804, died March 28, 1872. He was graduated at Harvard College in 1813. Was a member of the Washington Benevolent Society that year. Became president of the Commercial Insurance Company. Was a member of the Horticultural Society. He died in 1841. On March 8 the widow requested the appointment of her husband's brother, Francis C. Loring, administrator of the estate.
