Biography
Winifred was born in 1868, the heiress and daughter of Major James Legh Thursby, of Ormerod House, Lancashire.
She married Henry Albert de Vreque O'Brien-ffrench in 1890, and had four children. Her son Rollo died in 1909 in an accident playing football.
She passed away in 1913, this was before her husband was made 1st Marquess de CastelThomond by decree of Pope Leo. She died of cancer, and her son Conrad returned from Canada to be by her side. He later went on to become a famous spy.
