Biography

Miner Bradley was born at Guilford, Connecticut, on the 19th of March, 1779, a son of Zimri Bradley and Ruth (Hill) Bradley.[1] He married, first, Achsah Bishop -- who was the mother of all his children -- on 12 April 1803, likely at Guilford; widowed in 1814, he married, second, Phebe Hull, on 19 August 1815, at Guilford; widowed a second time in 1847, he married, third, the widow Parnel (Kelsey) Munger on 9 November 1848, again at Guilford.[2][3]

Miner Bradley survived Parnel by two years, dying at Guilford in August of 1862.

Data originally entered in this profile is from the profile of Miner Bradley's first wife, Achsah, in Descendants of John Bishop, in which his parents are shown as Simri Bradley and Ruth Hill. He was a hotel keeper; DJB confirms that he was married three times. A reception of the surviving officers of the Revolutionary War was given Gen. Lafayette at this hotel upon his visit to this country, 1824.
