Kenneth L. Tubman Jr., 81, retired Master Sergeant USAF, veteran, died January 14, 2015, at his home. Residing in Middleboro, he was the husband of Mary L. Tubman and was the son of the late Kenneth L. Sr. and Doris F. (Vickery) Tubman. Born in Bridgewater,

Mr. Tubman attended Middleboro schools prior to enlisting in the USAF. During his 20 years of service, he traveled throughout the United States and overseas, and received several medals and commendations before retiring out of Otis Air Force Base. After his retirement, he went to work in maintenance for Cape Cod Systems of Hyannis (McDonalds) for 25 years before retiring in 2003.

In addition to his wife, he is survived his children, Penny-Lee and Terry Zartman of Mass., Kenneth and Diane Tubman III of Fla., Katherine and Richard Ducasse of Mass., Steven Tubman of Mass., Cynthia and Paul Woodman of Vt., and Kevin Tubman of Mass. He was father to the late Crystal L. Downs. He leaves 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lydia Francis, Marion Seekall, and Doris Cobb of Mass., Elizabeth Sennett of Conn., and was brother to the late Sally Marler of Calif., and Earl Tubman of Mass.; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity . Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, January 19, in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 20, in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, Tuesday at 11:15 a.m.^[1]
