Biography

Funeral service were conducted yesterday at Higgins Funeral Home for Mrs. Ruthie Ellen Buntley Creson, of the Mimosa community, who died Monday (Aug. 13, 1990) in Lincoln Skilled Care Center after a long illness. She was 76.

Richard Waggoner and Lonnie Mankin officiated and was in Booneville Cemetery beside her husband, Levoy Creson, who died in 1981.

A native of Lincoln County, she was daughter of the late Jake Buntley and of Erma Colter Buntley, who survives. Mrs. Creson was a housewife and a member of the Mimosa Church of Christ.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sons, Filmore Creson of Mimosa and Gary Creson of Howell; two sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Waid of Mimosa and Mrs. Mary Creson of Mulberry; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
