Biography

Nathan Green was born 16 May 1757, He married Sarah Pennington. Their 9 children were named in his LWT, written 31 Dec 1830. Nathan Green died in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania on 1 Feb 1835. (His will's probate was 23 Feb 1835.)

Will

In the name of God Amen. I Nathan Green of Huntingdon County and Warriorsmark township concidering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being weak of body but of sound mind and memory thanks to Allmighty God for the same; doe publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)

Item, First I desire that all my just debts be paid and my funeral expenses.

Item I will and bequeath to my beloved wife, Sarah Green, all the tract of land that I now live on, joining lands of Adam Newling and others, during her natural lifetime to enjoy all the rents and benefits arising from said tract of land, also my moveble goods and chattles, household and kitchen furniture.

Item, I will that my executors make Henry Funk a deed for the half acre of land I sold him, if not made by myself before my decease.

Item, I will that the tract of land held by me laying in Antis township Huntingdon County to be sold after my decease, joining lands of Robert Aleson, John Ake and others as soon as convenient and the money to be divided between my children, Lemuel Green, Martha Thomas, Joseph Green, Mary Davis, Nathan Green, Levi Green, David Green, Thomas Green, Wesley Green to share and share alike the said Joseph Green is to have the land now occupied by himself as far as the conditional line made by him and me fore the sum of one hundred dollars to be taken out of the money coming to him, and to be considered as part of his legacy, the said Nathan Green is to have the some of eighty three three dollars taken out of his legacy.

Item, I will that my beloved wife have the some of one hundred dollars out of the money colected of the place in Antis township when sold: I will that the girl now bound to me by indenture have the some of fifty dollars given her at the decease of my wife if of age or living.

Lastly, I appoint Thomas Weston and my wife Sarah Green my executor and executrix of my Last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the thirty first day of December in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty.
