Biography

Secretary of War

He married, 25 Jul 1794, Henrietta Laura, only daughter and heiress of Sir William Pulteney, Bt. (formery Johnstone) of Westerhall. She was created Countess of Bath, 26 Oct 1803. She died 14 Jul 1808.

He was succeeded by his half-brother, Lt. Gen. Sir John Murray.
