Williams, 42, who had completed the sixth grade, a steam railroad car repairman, who earned $1100 working 48 weeks in 1939; his wife Margaret, 43, completed sixth grade; their childrenGordon Durwood, 18, completed four years of high school; Marjorie, in school; Betty Jane, 11, in school; and Violet Louise, 8, in school.[5]
