Tawanah was born in 1920. She married Robert Oscar Williams in 1941. She was living in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the time.[1] She died in 1977. She is buried at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada, Pontotoc, Oklahoma.[2]

Pontotoc County is in the south central part of Oklahoma. Its county seat is Ada. The county was created at statehood from part of the Chickasaw Nation in Indian Territory. It was named for a historic Chickasaw tribal area in Mississippi.
