Walter Lee Stoddard, son of Robert Elmer and Mary Emmaline (Keller) Stoddard, was born in 1903 in Oklahoma.[1][2]
He married Laurene O. Griffey, daughter of John L. and Cora (Thrope) Griffey, on 11 Feb. 1929 at Vancouver, Clark County, Washington.[2]
He was a painter at a paper mill when he and Laurene appeared on the census of 14 April 1930 at Oregon, Clackamas County, Oregon.[3] He was a grinder man at a paper and pulp mill when he and Laurene appeared on the census of 5 April 1940 at West Linn, Clackamas County, Oregon.[4]
Walter died on 28 June 1940 at Portland, Oregon[5] and was buried at Mountain View Cemetery, Oregon City, Clackamas County, Oregon. His memorial has a photo of his headstone.[1]
