My name is Roger Conant Follett, . . . I am a direct descendant of the Follett's and Conant's out of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. I am just getting started putting together our family's genealogy and your website has been a goldmine for me.

"Timothy Follett", . . . is my GGGGGF, and is buried just up the road from me in the old Congregational Cemetery in Bennington, Vermont. He was a silver smith by trade, and a participant in the Battle of Bennington. He married Susannah Fay, daughter of John Fay, and Granddaughter of Stephan Fay, the stalwart leader of the militia who fought the Battle of Bennington. Timothy (b 1754) was the son of Joseph (1721), the son of Benjamin (1676), the son of Robert William (1625), the son of John (1597), the son of John (1560). Timothy died March 23, 1803, leaving the widow Susannah with three small children, Timothy Jr. and his two sisters.

Susannah, of very limited means, took her children to Burlington Vermont, such that they might have a better education than what was available in Bennington. [3]
