Could be spelled with D instead of E on the end. Spann-280 has genetic connection with several McFarlands
Took horses to family's farm in Kentucky during Civil War. Returned to Chattanooga after war, rejoined his wife "Nannie" and two children Thomas & "Lizzie". died there 20 June 1870 and buried in Brainerd Methodist Church Cemetery.
