William was born in 1776. He was the son of William McCrillus and Eleanor King.[1] He was a soldier in the War of 1812 in
Captainss Dunham And White NY Militias. He passed away in 1817.

[1] Ancestry.com Message Board (by Gloria Hall): Located the grave of Borden Wilcox first wife (and the mother of his children) not far from Batavia. I found her listed in records at the Holland Land Company. Then I found a man who worked the farm as a youth and recalled her brother's grave (because it was War of 1812) and that there were several graves at the time. Eleanor's brother was William McCrillus, first husband of Eunice, who then married Borden Wilcox. Those graves are long gone and only the record at the Holland Land Company preserves the names.
