Biography

Sarah (Purdon) Stobbart was born in Yorkshire, England.

Sarah was born on 3rd July 1876 in Broomfleet, Yorkshire, England. Her parents were Joseph Purdon and Ann Kitching.^[1]

In 1881^[2] and 1891^[3] she was living with her family in Broomfleet.

At the time of the 1901 census,^[4] Sarah was working as a housekeeper for her uncle, Charles Patchett, in Yokefleet, Yorkshire.

She married Robert Stobbart in Laxton, Yorkshire, in 1906.^[5]

In 1911 the family farmed at Saltmarshe Grange in the parish of Eastrington, Yorkshire.^[6]

She passed away on 16 April 1947 and was buried at St Wilfrid's Churchyard, Brayton, near Selby.^[7]
