He was the son of Colonel Hugh Bamfylde and Mary Clifford.[1]He was born circa 1690.[1]He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on the 28th of January 1707.[1][2]He married Gertrude Carew, daughter of Sir John Carew, 3rd Bt. and Mary Morice, in June 1716.[2]He died on the 7th of October 1727.[1][2]He was buried on the 14th of October 1727 at Poltimore, Devon, England.[1][3]
