Biography

Olivia May Mcfarlane was born on 2 October 1888^[1]. She was the daughter of James Alexander Mcfarlane and Anne Alexandra Blunden.

In the 1891 Census of Canada, Olive McFarland (aged 2) was recorded living with her father James A McFarland (30 and a Farmer), her mother Annie McFarland (27) and her brother Lloyd McFarland (3) at Plympton, Lambton West, Ontario^[2].

Sadly her father James passed away in 1897 at the age of 36. Her mother remarried.

In the Canada Census dated 31 March 1901, Olivia F. Perkins [sic] (aged 12) was recorded living with her mother Annie Perkins (33), her step-father John Perkins (25) and her siblings Lloyd Perkins (13), Roy Perkins (6), Wilbert Perkins (5) and Albert Perkins (1) at Lambton West, Ontario^[3].

She married Philip Javens circa 1920. They had at least two children:

1. Philip Ross Javens (b. 1 Nov 1921, d. 26 Jul 1992)
2. Margaret Rosebud Javens (b. 24 Feb 1925, m. 1948 Lyle Andrew Oliver, d. 1 Mar 2019)

In the 1931 Census of Canada, Olive Javens (aged 43, a Homemaker) was recorded living with her husband Phillip Javens (49) and their two children Ross Javens (9) and Margaret Javens (6) at Rosetown, Saskatchewan^[4].

Olivia May Javens passed away on 5 February 1974 and was buried at Rosetown Cemetery, Rosetown, Battleford Census Division, Saskatchewan, Canada^[5]. PLOT: Block 7 Lot 4 Grave W3 Rosetown Section
